The Supply Chain Development department drives a broad portfolio of strategic supply chain initiatives aimed at optimizing packaging and labelling, reducing CO₂ emissions, digitalizing the order-to-cash process, and enhancing the customer service experience. We combine data, innovation, and change management to build a resilient supply chain. In this role you’ll make an impact by:
You will lead the development and implementation of global packaging concepts that meet complex business and customer requirements. This role demands deep technical insight, hands-on experience, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
Strategic Leadership
Lead packaging initiatives from concept to implementation across global markets
Translate business needs into robust, scalable packaging solutions
Evaluate total cost of ownership, secure supply, sustainability, and quality
Technical Excellence
Apply deep material and process knowledge to optimize packaging performance
Bridge packaging design with filling and production capabilities
Scout and integrate global best practices and emerging technologies in packaging
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to co-develop packaging solutions
Ensure global compliance and continuous improvement through complaint handling
Actively contribute to internal packaging communities and external forums
Sustainability Focus
Drive the development of packaging solutions that align with environmental goals
Optimize material usage and reduce waste in collaboration with customers
To succeed you must hold:
Potentially relevant experience
To succeed as Packaging Specialist we expect that you should have solid experience within B2B packaging and material knowledge within foils, plastic types and are curious of exploring new material types. You have previous being implementing solutions which balance business/customer requirements with a strong focus on sustainability.
The ideal candidate comes with:
Masters degree or other relevant background within Packaging Technology, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
+10 years of experience working with packaging and insight into sustainability
Strong technical mindset to bridge packaging solutions and filling capabilities.
Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Expertise in scouting and integrating global best practices in packaging.
Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental support and collaboration
