At LEO Pharma, we are on a mission to improve the lives of people with skin diseases, and we need a passionate and highly experienced Senior Scientist to join our Drug Device Combination Products team in Ballerup, Denmark.

Your role
As a key player in this global role, you will navigate complexity, coordinate across departments, and engage with stakeholders across LEO Pharma. Acting as the SME point of contact, you will provide technical support to our Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) and ensure the successful lifecycle management of our marketed DDCPs.
The role offers:
- The opportunity to serve as the SME for Drug Device Combination Products (DDCP), assembly, labeling, and packaging (AL&P).
- A chance to provide technical expertise and support to External Manufacturing for LEO Pharma’s marketed biologic DDCPs.
- Leadership in processes for specific products and representation of LEO Pharma during the establishment of new equipment and processes at CMOs.
- The responsibility to develop and maintain manufacturing processes for CMO activities while ensuring full compliance with requirements.
- Ownership of process trending and support for the lifecycle management of device documentation for marketed DDCPs.
- Engagement in maintenance activities, including root cause analysis, deviations, risk assessments, change controls, and customer complaints.
- Contribution to strategic initiatives and collaboration with internal stakeholders on Continuous/Ongoing Process Verification (CPV/OPV).
- Involvement in DDCP design control, risk management activities, and the maintenance of critical device documentation (e.g., Module 3, Design History File).
Your qualifications
We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in biopharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a collaborative mindset, with a passion for innovation and alignment with LEO Pharma’s values.
We imagine you have the following competencies:
- Degree in Science or Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in biopharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing, or a similar background providing scientific support to GMP production.
- Direct experience in drafting and maintaining GMP manufacturing or medical device documentation, with preferred experience managing complex technical tasks.
- Proven ability to operate globally, collaborate cross-functionally, and manage diverse stakeholders across LEO Pharma and external partners.
- Alignment with LEO Pharma’s core values, including patient focus, integrity, collaboration, enterprise thinking, and action-oriented execution.
- Strong behavioral competencies such as managing ambiguity, decision quality, and fostering collaboration.
