About the role
As Procurement Manager at GlobalConnect, you will play a key role in driving contractor negotiations and ensuring solid supplier relationships in our rollout and construction projects. Your responsibilities will span the entire procurement process — from collaborating with internal stakeholders and defining requirements, to contract negotiation and final handover.
In addition, you’ll be responsible for supplier governance, working closely with our partners to ensure strong collaboration, compliance, and value delivery. You’ll participate in project meetings, support tender pre-studies, and prepare documentation alongside key stakeholders and legal colleagues.
You’ll be joining a highly engaged and open-minded team of six professionals located across the Nordics. While primarily virtual, the team regularly meets in person and is known for its generous, supportive, and team-first mindset.
Your key responsibilities:
- Drive large and sometimes complex procurement projects.
- Lead negotiations with contractors—from early stakeholder engagement to contract close and delivery handover.
- Assess and endorse contractors while actively managing risk, including evaluating financial stability.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure long-term value and effective governance.
- Collaborate with legal and business stakeholders in preparing requirements, tender materials, and responding to contractor inquiries.
- Define and implement long-term strategies for key procurement categories aligned with business objectives and market trends.
- Support change management internally as we transition toward a pan-Nordic procurement model.
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
- Have solid procurement experience, particularly within telecom rollout or construction.
- Understand complex stakeholder landscapes and are comfortable navigating change.
- Possess excellent negotiation skills and can handle contractor and supplier discussions with confidence and clarity.
- Are fluent in English; a Scandinavian language is a strong plus.
- Combine a structured approach with flexibility to adapt to external factors like market shifts or regulatory changes.
What we offer:
- A significant impact on the company’s future through strategic procurement.
- Great career growth opportunities in a dynamic and evolving organization.
- A friendly, collaborative team culture that values openness, trust, and teamwork.
- The opportunity to work in a pan-Nordic setup and grow your international experience.
