Job Description:
The STC BU International Director of Sales is responsible for leading the regional sales outside the Americas in terms of driving revenue and maximizing sales volume by developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. This includes being responsible for direct sales in Denmark, UK and Germany, and otherwise indirect sales via distributors outside the Americas, through geographical dedicated Regional Sales Managers. Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer and distributor relationships is a critical component. This role works closely with other internal departments and several external parties.

What will you do:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth through both direct sales and distribution channels.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business expansion and product improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and strategic partners to drive sales and maximize market penetration.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, evaluate sales data, and prepare regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure efficient utilization of resources and cost-effective operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes, streamline operations, and optimize customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and adaptability to market changes.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and foster new business relationships.
  • Acts as the quoting & pricing authority for OEM/distributors within company policies.
  • Work closely with Product Management / Marketing and make recommendations for sales procedures including analyses of regional pricing vs. competition and discount policies to increase profitability and market penetration.
  • Administer existing contracts and agreements and establish others as required. Perform contractual and commercial negotiations.
  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients, assist with maintaining relationships, negotiations, and closing deals.
  • Prepare and presents sales reports and data as required.
  • Monitor and evaluate activities of competitors.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) within Business or Engineering from four-year University
  • Minimum 5 years’ direct sales leadership experience required.
  • 10+ years’ experience travelling, speaking and giving presentations to clients, from a technical sales/business development perspective.
  • Fluent in English both in writing and verbally
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of sales and marketing principles required.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales quota over-achievement.
  • Experience prospecting, driving, orchestrating, and closing complex sales cycles required.
  • Track record of understanding product and ideas quickly.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Significant experience managing both direct sales reports, channel networks and overall sales responsibility for a geographic region.
