Key Responsibilities
- Lead, co-lead, or support cross-functional program teams in delivering renewable energy mandates, products, and services.
- Assist in financial modeling and scenario analysis of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) offers, including gathering data, evaluating pricing structures, and supporting calculations.
- Manage and support the negotiation, structuring, and execution of Physical and Virtual PPAs, and other enabling agreements for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Develop and implement customized renewable energy procurement strategies aligned with customer requirements, market conditions, and risk appetite.
- Conduct research on energy markets, pricing developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies; summarize findings to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify and mitigate commercial, contractual, and regulatory risks related to renewable energy transactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as legal, finance, regulatory affairs, and sustainability to ensure effective program delivery.
- Track and report on project performance metrics, including delivery schedules, financial modeling, risk management, and internal reporting.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, driving customer relationship management and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Support business development by compiling relevant information and organizing market intelligence for selected EMEA markets.
- Foster partnerships with renewable energy developers, utilities, regulators, and corporate sustainability teams.
- Maintain high levels of senior executive engagement with corporate, governmental, and institutional clients.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in renewable energy, energy procurement, or energy finance, with emphasis on project development, project finance, or corporate PPAs.
- Strong understanding of power markets, energy contracting structures, and procurement mechanisms, particularly across European markets.
- Demonstrated experience negotiating and executing long-term PPAs (physical and virtual) and related agreements.
- Proficiency in energy market fundamentals, incentives, and EU regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with financial modeling, risk assessment, and renewable energy project finance.
- Effective client-facing, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate at senior leadership levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with a high level of execution.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel across Europe as required.
