People & Culture Portfolio Manager - Strategic Initiatives & M&A
About the Role
This role serves as the strategic orchestrator for People & Culture's (P&C) most important initiatives. You'll be the central hub that ensures our P&C leadership can prioritize effectively, track progress transparently, and execute flawlessly across three key areas: strategic project portfolio management, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) people integration, and HR digital transformation.
As our P&C Portfolio Manager, you'll create order from complexity, transforming how we manage our strategic agenda while ensuring seamless execution of M&A activities and digital transformation initiatives
Impact You'll Create
- Strategic Portfolio Management: Establish a single source of truth for P&C strategic initiatives with real-time dashboards and insights, enabling leadership to make informed decisions with clear visibility into progress, strategic alignment, and optimal resource allocation
- M&A Integration Leadership: Transform how we execute M&A people integration through standardized processes that ensure seamless employee experiences and faster time-to-value
- Digital Transformation & Change: Drive meaningful improvements in both employee satisfaction with HR digital services and P&C team operational efficiency, while successfully guiding the organization through technology adoption to ensure new tools and ways of working become embedded in daily operation
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Portfolio Management
- Maintain master registry of P&C initiatives and facilitate monthly leadership prioritization sessions
- Create executive dashboards and establish project governance frameworks
- Partner with leadership to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities
M&A People Integration Orchestration
- Lead P&C workstreams during M&A activities as primary people integration coordinator
- Design standardized integration playbooks and coordinate due diligence activities
- Create success metrics and optimize future M&A people processes
Digital Transformation
- Internal Focus: Implement data-driven ways of working and process automation across P&C teams
- Employee Focus: Drive adoption of HR self-service platforms and AI-powered tools (copilots, generative AI)
- Change Management: Execute strategies that embed new digital tools into daily operations for both P&C professionals and employee
Required Experience & Skills
Essential Experience
- 7+ years in HR operations with demonstrated success leading complex transformation projects in large organizations
- Proven track record of portfolio/program management, including experience with project management tools and methodologies (PMP/Agile preferred)
- Direct experience leading HR workstreams in M&A activities, including due diligence, integration planning, and post-merger execution
- Hands-on experience implementing HR technology solutions and driving user adoption across diverse employee populations
Digital & Technology Expertise:
- Strong understanding of HR technology landscape, including HRIS platforms, self-service portals, and emerging AI/automation tools
- Experience with data analytics and dashboard creation for executive reporting
- Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies for technology adoption
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Excellence in stakeholder management across all organizational levels, from C-suite executives to front-line employees
- Proven ability to influence without authority and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex initiatives into clear, actionable plan

What Success Looks Like in Your First Year
· Months 1-3: Establish a comprehensive portfolio management system and gain leadership buy-in for new governance processes
· Months 4-6: Develop comprehensive M&A integration playbooks and standardized processes, ensuring readiness for future acquisition activities
· Months 7-9: Launch pilot digital transformation initiatives with measurable adoption and satisfaction improvements
· Months 10-12: Demonstrate measurable impact across all three focus areas with clear evidence of improved efficiency, stakeholder satisfaction, and strategic value deliver
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the Global Head of Data and Digital Solutions and works closely with the broader People & Culture leadership team, including Global Business Partners and Centers of Excellence leaders. You'll have relationships with local and regional P&C leaders and direct collaboration with M&A integration teams.
