As a DevOps Engineer for the Observability Platform, you will contribute to the design and roadmap as well as implementation, and evolution of our monitoring stack. You will work closely with engineers across infrastructure and application domains to ensure our observability tooling delivers actionable insights, supports incident response, and scales with our hybrid cloud environments. You will be working in an agile, product-led environment reporting into a flexible and collaborative matrix organization reporting to your Chapter Lead and Product Owner.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain our open-source observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluentd/Fluent Bit, VictoriaMetrics, OpenTelemetry)
- Collaborate with engineering teams to define SLIs/SLOs, alerting strategies, and monitoring standards
- Support incident response and postmortem processes using observability data
- Contribute to the Observability Platform roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and operational needs
- Promote best practices in monitoring, logging, and alerting across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and other observability tools
- Proficiency in Golang or another strongly typed programming language
- Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native tooling
- Experience with Azure and hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
