NOV is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for our Plant Projects department. In the department of Plant Projects, we handle large investments on machinery, and we are dealing with new equipment as well as improvement and refurbishments of existing. Equipment is large and engineeringly challenging, and good engineering design as well as project execution can have a high impact on final product as well as on usability, safety, reliability and downtime.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support high-impact projects related to power systems, including Utility Service Entrance (transformers, main switches), local power distribution, and backup systems like UPS.
- Drive energy optimization and power quality initiatives, helping reduce downtime and increase system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders in Denmark and Brazil to generate concepts and bring forward-thinking designs to life.
- Review and challenge supplier designs, ensuring they meet both technical requirements and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including diagrams and specifications, while ensuring proper archiving and compliance.
- Play an active role in supplier coordination, especially for critical components and installation follow-up.
- Write clear and actionable technical specifications for external vendors based on stakeholder input.
- Perform ad hoc PLC programming and contribute to updates of the Building Management System (BMS).
- Support on-site installation and commissioning activities with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
- Conduct data-driven analysis to assess system performance and support continuous improvement based on engineering insights.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education as Electrical Engineer, Marine Engineer, Plant Engineer, Electrical installation Engineer or similar.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience with fulfillment of regulatory requirements in similar environment.
- Experience with data-based root cause analysis – certification within Six-Sigma will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding and interest of machine operation and process stability.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
- Experience in working in project teams and on-time delivery.
- Experience with implementation in a manufacturing area.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Danish and/or Portuguese.
- Some experience within project management will be an advantage.
- Preferably hands-on experience with installations.
- Experience in offshore oil & gas equipment engineering.
- Accustomed to working within a matrix organization.
- Enjoyment of team collaboration and social engagement.
