Your role
You will join the R&D Legal & HQ Operations team within the Global Legal, IPR & Compliance department and take up the important role as a legal advisor to the commercial organization. You will play a pivotal role in supporting production sites and headquarter functions within the commercial organization and provide advice on a broad range of various types of commercial contracts.
You will be trusted with responsibility and freedom to perform, which requires a structured work approach, corporate mind-set, ability to prioritize, and a strong business acumen.
- Provide legal advice to key stakeholders within the global organization including procurement, IT, finance, external manufacturing, product supply chain and logistics.
- Review, negotiate and draft a broad range of commercial contracts and act as lead on contract negotiations.
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders within Global Legal, IPR & Compliance, and the business.
- Offer guidance on legal risk management, cross-functional collaboration and alignment.
- Provide legal advice to the business in case of claims or litigation.
Your qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:
- Master of Laws (LL.M.) or Master of Science in Business Administration and Commercial Law (cand.merc.jur).
- Relevant post-graduation experience, preferably from a law-firm or a life science company.
- Proficient in English with strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
- Understanding of commercial contracts, especially IT contracting.
- Knowledge of finance contracts, manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics, as well as knowledge of the pharmaceutical, is preferred.
- Experience in providing legal advice on claims, litigation, and cross-functional projects such as outsourcing is preferred.
- Strong business insights with a commercial understanding.
- Strong communication abilities and stakeholder management skills.
- An autonomous, collaborative, and eager to learn attitude.
Your new team
You will join a small but highly efficient legal team of six skilled and dedicated legal specialists and be part of the Global Legal, IPR & Compliance department, which includes approximately 50 legal & compliance specialists in total. You will be based at LEO Pharma HQ in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen.
