Technician

We are looking for new colleagues to join our client onsite in Southern Denmark. You will be enrolled in either dayshifts or nightshifts. You will be to work within a team of multi-skilled technicians, apprentices and contractors to maintain, install and improve the performance of processing equipment across the kitchen, filling, packing and site services. Other functions of the role will to be proactive, carry out corrective work orders cover Maintenance issues and breakdowns.

Location: Southern Jutland, onsite only.

• "Hands on” Technician with a great understanding of both mechanical or electrical engineering - does not have to be acquired through an engineering education
• Appropriate professional mechanical or electrical engineering qualifications and training
• Thorough understanding of common mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience both reactive and planned maintenance activity and small installations
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Professional attitude with plenty of drive and enthusiasm
• Lead by example promote best practice and work within a team
• Results oriented – gets things done
• Professional level of English - both oral and written
• Danish is a plus
• Committed to do 12 hours shifts 3 times a week (07-19 or 19-07)
• Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away

• Developing the Maintenance schedule (PM strategy) by providing feedback on tasks and using Continuous improvement technics to promote world class engineering standards via their in-house process control system and liaising with other internal departments to update necessary documentation
• Attend morning Handover from previous shift reflecting on performance and daily operation.
• Provide adequate start up support in the production areas
• Assist the engineering Team leader of the engineering downtime from past 24 hours
• When Engineering Team leader is absent send step-up to cover the role
• Follow the engineering escalation, communication procedures
• Ensure all engineers adhere to the SSOW.
• Provide support to engineering department to ensure plant is running at maximum capacity
• Ensure escalation procedures are always followed
• Work with the team to resolve reoccurring plant issues
• Improve ppms to ensure they can be completed within timely scales, improve stock asset management for critical spares to plant machine
• Ensure all site-specific Quality, Audit jobs, Housekeeping & Hygiene standards are achieved or exceeded
• Weekend work plan to be delivered on Wednesday each week in advance this should be weighted 60%ppm 30% improvement 20%reactive. This should be planned against availability of hours
• Raise PPM work orders and order parts via the Stores personal and engineering coordinator
• Contractor management
• Build and maintain effective relationships with all site contacts from operators, engineers, site management, production staff & suppliers etc.
• Through asset standardization identify areas to decrease critical spares through standardization
