What you will do:
You will support the BESS team in advancing our modelling work and business case development. Your main tasks will include:
- Running simulations of battery storage systems across different electricity markets.
- Analyzing and validating output data from the models and preparing results for internal stakeholders.
- Maintaining and further developing our Python-based optimization model.
- Identifying and solving bugs in the model, as well as proposing improvements to ensure robust and reliable performance.
- Comparing results against third-party benchmarks and refining assumptions where needed.
- Translating technical model output into business cases and presentations for management and project teams.
The position is 12-15 hours a week with office in EE HQ, Søborg, Denmark, with the possibility of flexible working hours.
About you:
- You are in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree or in the first year of your Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, energy economics, or a similar field.
- You have solid programming skills in Python and are curious to learn more about optimization techniques.
- You are analytical, structured, and comfortable with handling large datasets.
- You are motivated by problem solving and not discouraged by working on open-ended challenges.
- You are familiar with, or interested in, the renewable energy sector and electricity markets.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
