On behalf of INEOS – Actief Hartmanns is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with 8-10 years’ experience in offshore structures such as jackets and topsides – to join the Projects & Engineering Department.
The Projects & Engineering Department is responsible for design, planning, and execution of INEOS offshore development project and CCS projects in Denmark, and you would initially be joining the Hejre Development project team.
INEOS are currently 290 employees in INEOS Denmark with offices in Esbjerg and in Virum - the greater Copenhagen area. You will be based in either our office in Esbjerg or Virum.
About the job
You will liaise with colleagues across other engineering disciplines in the development of new facilities. Further, liaison with other functional area such as SHEQ, Drilling, Operations, etc. will be required. Good collaboration skills are therefore a key element in this position.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Structural engineering discipline as part of project delivery teams in Define and Execute project stages
- Prepare technical requirements, design brief and scope of work for external studies and engineering services for FEED and detail design of jackets and topside structures
- Lead external engineering contractors in completion of technical studies, FEED and detail design within structural discipline
- As part of our project site team manage EPC contractors within the structural discipline, during both detail design and during construction
- Develop strong working relationships with asset stakeholders including SHEQ, Projects, Drilling and Operations teams to ensure an integrated approach to resolving technical issues
A self-driven team player with industry experience
You bring relevant experience from offshore energy projects (e.g. oil & gas, wind, CCS) and are familiar with applicable industry standards. Knowledge of Danish regulations for offshore oil and gas developments is an advantage, but not a requirement – INEOS value willingness to learn and adapt to local requirements.
- Have a BSc/MSc degree in civil engineering or other relevant background
- Have experience as structural engineer within offshore (e.g. oil & gas, wind, CCS)
- Have experience with transport and installation of offshore structures
- Have experience in defining scope of work for external studies and detail design and in managing external engineering contractors
- Detailed knowledge of DS/EN ISO 1990x-x code series and EC 3 for steel structures
- Knowledge of detailed FEA
- Knowledge of structural material selection and fabrication
- Have a structured and analytical approach to your work
