We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to enhance our cost management capabilities within the Client Consultancy team. You will be part of COWI Denmark’s Project Management Office-discipline within Buildings & Industry. We provide comprehensive consulting services for construction and industrial projects, addressing every phase of the construction process. Our holistic approach emphasizes functionality, value, building technology, energy efficiency, and sustainable solutions.
We lead sustainable, high-profile projects across Denmark, aiming to be the most proficient consulting team within PMO in projects working closely with our customers. We are proud to have contributed to a wide range of complex and challenging projects for larger public- and private clients both as client consultants and as well as the design part within the pharma, data centers and health.
Join Denmark’s Largest Client Advisory Environment
In this role, you’ll join a client advisory team of approximately 120 professionals in Lyngby, offering legal and technical consultancy to both private and public sector clients locally and internationally. Reporting directly to the Head of Department, your primary focus will be project-based, collaborating closely with project teams, clients, and partners. Some assignments will also require independent client engagement.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates throughout all project phases, from design through construction
- Assess architectural proposals and tender submissions
- Collaborate with our Digital Management discipline to develop and refine cost management tools and services for construction and civil engineering projects
- Generate and present comprehensive cost reports to both internal stakeholders and external clients

Success in this role begins with a collaborative mindset and a focus on delivering results with integrity. You are a well-organized, efficient collaborator who is skilled at building effective relationships among project stakeholders and delivering proactive solutions. Work experience covers pharmaceutical, data center, and healthcare sectors as well as knowledge of pricing MEP-systems.
On top of that, you will have:
- 10+ years’ consulting experience as a Cost Manager in the consultancy industry
- Cost estimating across all design phases including cost reporting
- Willingness to mentor junior Cost Managers
- Familiarity with the Danish construction market (including YBB and YBL standards)
- Knowledge of the contractor and development industry
- Experience with risk management, tendering, and claims management
- Proficiency in Danish language
