The role
Do you bring structure to chaos and clarity to complexity? At Gentoo Media, we’re looking for a Senior Communications Coordinator who can turn strategic intent into seamless execution.
This isn’t a content creation role. It’s about making sure every message reaches the right audience, at the right time, in the right tone. Every time.
You’ll be the structural linchpin of the Brand & Communication team: managing calendars, orchestrating stakeholders, enforcing tone discipline, and ensuring our communications land with clarity and consistency.

What you'll be doing
As our Senior Communications Coordinator, you won’t be writing posts. You’ll ensure that everything published reflects our brand DNA, fits the moment, and connects across audiences.
- Own our editorial calendars across LinkedIn, Instagram, intranet, newsletters, and press
- Coordinate content delivery across internal teams and external creators and suppliers, keeping everyone aligned, informed, and on track
- Enforce editorial quality by owning tone-of-voice governance, narrative QA, and final content approvals
- Track progress and unblock workflows, managing campaign timelines and resolving delivery bottlenecks
- Liaise with HR, TA, Sales, and EMT to gather stories, align initiatives, and ensure communication priorities are structurally sound
- Maintain workflow documentation, asset templates, and editorial processes
- Support reporting and insights, surfacing structural patterns and reputation-relevant feedback
- Guard delivery standards - across tone, clarity, sequencing, and publication readiness
Who we're looking for

- A coordination pro: You can run multiple timelines, manage stakeholders, and maintain oversight without dropping detail
- Editorially fluent: You don’t just know good writing, you know how it should sound, where it fits, and when it’s off
- A delivery architect: You think in systems and execute in sequence
- A firm but fair operator: You hold the line on quality, but you do it with calm, logic, and structure
- An experienced integrator: You’ve managed communication delivery across formats, timelines, and teams - and know how to keep moving without losing the plot
What you bring
- 7+ years of experience in communications project management, editorial operations, or cross-functional content coordination
- Experience managing calendars, QA workflows, and stakeholder collaboration in a communications environment
- Familiarity with content planning tools, project management systems, and reporting frameworks
- A strong grasp of narrative structure, tone of voice, and editorial governance
