To further establish COWI as a customer-centric company, we are looking for a Market Director to join the Renewable Energy business development team. You will report directly to the Senior Market Director, Renewable Energy, Thor Ugelvig Petersen. As our new Market Director, you will be responsible for proactively developing customer and partner relationships within power, grid and transmission systems for COWI's Renewable and Energy market in the Denmark and Internationally.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure early identification of leads and regular update of the pipeline through close customer contact
- Lead business development by engaging in customer meetings, identifying leads, and managing the ‘go/no-go’ process for tenders.
- Drive proposal development—support submissions, lead selected proposals, and ensure high-quality presentations with strong value propositions.
- Oversee pricing & commercial strategy for proposals in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Act as Key Account Manager for select clients and support the broader key account management strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including heads of engineering, to align proposals and business goals.
- Participate in business development meetings with peers (e.g., Denmark) to strategize and share insights.

On top of that, you will have:
- Relevant business development and leadership experience,
- Solid customer experience related to direct meetings,
- Solid experience in developing and implementing business development strategies that ensure revenue and growth,
- Experience developing major proposals and market initiatives within consulting or engineering,
- Experience from an engineering consultancy, developer or EPC contractor within power, grid and transmission systems (offshore and onshore).
