How You’ll Make an Impact
- Project Oversight:Use your expertise to optimize the planning and execution of lifting operations for multiple offshore wind projects and ensure timely and successful delivery. Coordinate with multifunctional teams to integrate lifting activities into the overall project timeline and objectives.
- Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement a comprehensive, global lifting strategy tailored to offshore wind projects. Collaborate with the leadership team to align lifting operations with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Operational Management and Technical Authority:Oversee all aspects of lifting operations for offshore wind projects and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. Optimize lifting methodologies and equipment utilization to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Team Development and Stakeholder Engagement:Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of lifting specialists and engineers. Promote a collaborative team environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Safety and Compliance:Cultivate a culture of safety and ensure alignment with all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Innovation and Best Practices:Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in lifting operations. Drive the implementation of innovative solutions to enhance lifting efficiency.
What You Bring
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in wind projects, preferably in technical or project management areas with lifting operations offshore or related industries.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and building collaborative relationships across diverse teams and contractors in the industry.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in lifting operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to work as a standout colleague.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marine, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field, along with proficiency in project management software.
- Fluent in English and comfortable traveling.
About the Team
You will lead a dedicated team of heavy lift specialists, travers and lifting engineers, and governance experts within the Product and Specialists department in Construction Offshore. The department is mainly structured into two areas: (1) Appointed Person Heavy Lifting, (2) Specialists team, including mobilization engineers, a lifting engineer, and a Quality and EHS responsible. This international team is critical to project success, working in an interesting technical environment using technologies in extreme conditions.
