About the Job
As the only internal legal resource, you will be expected to take a hands-on approach to all legal matters, while also managing and coordinating with external legal advisors in Denmark and internationally as needed to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
Your main responsibilities:
- Act as the company’s primary legal advisor, providing practical, solution-oriented legal guidance to senior management and stakeholders across the organization.
- Draft, review, and support in the negotiation of a wide range of commercial contracts, including development agreements, PPAs, offtake agreements, and partnership arrangements.
- Oversee corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and legal risk management activities.
- Manage the company’s legal documentation, including templates, corporate records, and executed agreements.
- Handle all insurance-related matters, including negotiation and administration of group-wide insurance policies.
- Collaborate with and manage external legal counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal support.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to our operations and proactively advise the business on implications.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies and compliance procedures, including global oversight and audit of compliance practices.
You will work from our headquarters in Aalborg, and as we operate globally, this position may occasionally require a flexible attitude.
About You
We expect you to enrich our business with the following qualifications and skills:
A legal degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with significant experience in corporate law, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.- Prior experience in a leading role within a legal department or as outside counsel advising corporate clients.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and balance legal and business considerations in decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders in both Danish and English.
- Proven record of good negotiation skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and manage different priorities effectively.
- Fluent in both Danish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
