The job
We are looking for a motivated colleague to run strategic projects covering data privacy and to play an important role in shaping the future of our data privacy framework.
This job gives you a truly diverse and challenging working day where your qualifications and interests will be taken into consideration as much as possible.
When carrying out your tasks, you will work with colleagues across our international business units and affiliates. You will also work with external experts on selected matters but more importantly you will obtain a unique and in-depth understanding of Demant’s business.
You will encounter a variety of tasks, including:
- Planning and executing strategic projects across our international business that improve or refine our existing Data Privacy program.
- Developing and updating policies and guidelines and assisting with implementation across Demant Group’s multiple business areas and jurisdictions.
- Supporting stakeholders with advice on various data privacy matters e.g., advice in connection with business acquisitions and integration, new research projects, and implementation of new digital solutions.
- Training colleagues – especially our Data Privacy Champions on data privacy related matters.
The work requires good project management skills and a proactive approach, as most of your work will be project oriented. With your own initiatives to pursue, you will collaborate closely with the entire team, including our Group Data Protection Officer and our Head of Group Privacy & Compliance.
The job is located at our headquarters in Smørum, from where you have a flexible working environment with possibility to work from home up to two days per week. Your manager will be Head of Group Privacy & Compliance, Sara Munch Andersen.
Become part of our engaged and fun team
You will become part of our international Group Privacy & Compliance team consisting of two specialist subgroups (Data Privacy and Legal Compliance). This position is for the privacy-leg of the team. All team members are enthusiastic about supporting our business with compliance while we are also trying to have a great time doing so. The tone is informal, and your input will be valued and encouraged.
The team is a part of the larger Demant Group Legal & Compliance. The group in Denmark consists of more than 20 highly skilled and motivated colleagues with a great team spirit. Globally, we have more than 50 team members and common for all is our profound commitment to supporting our business grow.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
- A degree in law (cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or equivalent degree if you are educated outside of Denmark).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience from working as in-house counsel, at a law firm or consulting firm, or with other relevant legal experience.
- Experience with planning projects within data privacy.
- A methodical approach and proficiency in organizing processes, projects, or tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to explain complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- The ability to balance the need for sound business advice with the need for maintaining a high standard of legal advice.
- Great interpersonal skills to have good interaction with and being able to manage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- English proficiency as English is our corporate language. Danish is nice-to-have.
For the right candidate, this position can become a Senior position.
