At DXC Technology Denmark, we deliver business-critical IT services that set the framework for tomorrow's Denmark. You will be part of a team of 4 developers who are responsible for the management and maintenance of a socially critical system, a large part of which runs on mainframe.
We all work 3 days at home and 2 days in the office per week. So there is plenty of flexibility. - Responsibilities:The system you maintain is undergoing a major modernization process. While your colleagues outside the team take care of that part, it is your most important task to ensure high data quality and that the system runs unaffected.
Of course, we make sure that you receive peer training and that your tasks continuously fit your level of knowledge. To facilitate the distribution of tasks, we are setting up a Kanban board, and you will also be part of that running-in process.
Typically, you spend your working day on:
- Follow up on any incidents from the nightly batch
- Respond to inquiries from the customer's system and process owners, e.g. about certain types of data that you create scripts to extract.
- develop changes and improvements, e.g. on the basis of new legislation
- Mandatory Skills Description:You enjoy tinkering with the system and getting to know all its subtleties, so you are sure to be able to make customers happy. And then you appreciate a good collaboration just as much as the rest of the team does.
In addition, we imagine that you:
- experienced in cracking COBOL code and is a shark for SQL
- have experience with IBM mainframes and knowledge of TSO and PDF and DB2
- have knowledge of JCL, Jira and Kanban, but it is not a hard requirement on our part
- Speak and write fluent Danish and English
