The Role
As part of our Nordic Underwriting Department, you'll work closely with talented colleagues across Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Key responsibilities include:
- Optimizing risk-assessment processes and ensuring data quality
- Developing new offerings with product development and actuarial teams
- Supporting profitable growth in the Nordics through tender underwriting
- Building and maintaining pricing models with actuarial support
- Performing customer and portfolio analysis
- Specifying system development requirements for underwriting and actuarial accuracy
- Supporting the actuarial team on specific reserving topics, such as age reserving.
- Developing and maintenance of guidelines
The Profile
We’re looking for someone who combines a sharp analytical mind with a natural ability to connect with people. You should be comfortable working with complex data, confident in making decisions, and eager to contribute to a collaborative, cross-Nordic team. If you enjoy balancing precision with big-picture thinking, you’ll thrive here.
- Relevant experience in underwriting or a similar risk-related role, with a solid understanding of risk concepts, key drivers, and economic interdependencies
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong broker relationships that support business growth
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office—especially Excel—and confidence in working with numbers
- Fluency in Danish and English (spoken and written); German or another Nordic language is a plus
- A friendly, service-minded approach that fits naturally into a positive and collaborative team culture
- A talent for presenting complex data in a clear, engaging way to different audiences
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to keep the big picture in mind while addressing important details
- Independent, self-motivated, and resilient, with the ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Willingness to travel occasionally to our Nordic offices to connect with colleagues in person
