Are you passionate about chip development, electronics, and embedded systems? Are you seeking a student role that allows you to contribute to innovative hardware used in advanced hearing aids – and collaborate with some of the best engineers in the field?
If so, this opportunity in our ASIC team could be just what you're looking for.
Join a World-Class Chip Development Team
At Chipset, we develop state-of-the-art chipsets that power some of the most advanced hearing aids in the world. As a Student Assistant, you will become part of a highly skilled, agile development environment focused on quality, innovation, and teamwork.
You’ll join one of our scrum teams, typically consisting of 6–8 experienced engineers with expertise spanning digital design, verification, embedded SW, analog/mixed-signal design, and tools & automation.
Our teams work according to SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), giving you exposure to a modern and collaborative way of delivering complex hardware solutions.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Student Assistant, your tasks will vary based on your skills and development interests. You may be involved in:
- Supporting digital design or verification activities using SystemVerilog, UVM, or scripting
- Assisting with lab measurements and data analysis on ASIC prototypes
- Contributing to embedded SW development or automation of test and validation tasks
- Maintaining and improving internal tools, scripts, and flows (e.g., Python, Bash, Make)
- Participating in planning sessions, reviews, and demos as part of the agile workflow
You will work closely with your team to define and align your tasks based on sprint priorities and your learning goals.
What We’re Looking For
We imagine you are:
- Enrolled in a BSc on 5th semester or MSc program on first semester in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field
- Interested in digital/analog design, chip architecture, embedded systems, or test/validation
- Familiar with programming or scripting (e.g., Python, C/C++, SystemVerilog, or similar)
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic R&D environment
- Able to work independently and contribute as part of a team
Experience with ASIC or embedded development is a plus, but not required – we’ll help you learn.
What We Offer
- A flexible student job (app. 15 hours/week, with exams taken into account)
- The chance to work on meaningful, real-world chip projects
- A highly professional and supportive team environment
- Exposure to agile/SAFe development practices
Opportunity to work with engineers in your field, including the possibility to write your project, bachelor’s, or master’s thesis in collaboration with us.
