About the role
In the role of a Portfolio Manager you will be responsible to secure income from our wind asset portfolio and contracts predominantly in the Nordics, supporting also other regions as needed. You will be part of the Commercial Operations Northern Europe team within Asset Partner & Optimisation Renewables area. Our department maximizes value from all of our renewable income streams across nine countries.
- Secure and optimize revenues generated from our Nordic asset and contract portfolio, with the focus on the offshore wind farm Thor
- Provide sound analysis for commercial decisions
- Operational management/support of the marketing of power and certificates
- Support the development of appropriate strategies, the design and the origination of new commercial products/services for Nordic asset and contracts portfolio such as ancillary services
- Be responsible for any required (re-)negotiations of commercial aspects of existing contracts within the portfolio and relationship management of internal and external partners (e.g. PPAs)
- Run route-to-market tenders for our Nordic assets and manage the route-to-market contracts throughout their lifetime
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with other functions in RWE Renewables and RWE group
- Provide commercial support to Joint Venture partners as part of Energy Management Service Agreements
- Promote and foster a strong entrepreneurial and performance culture
- Translate commercial products into IT requirements and support the IT teams throughout the implementation
- Monitor regulatory environment and analyse potential commercial impact or implications for our portfolio
Job requirements and experience
- Business or analytical/quantitative university degree with 5+ years of experience in the area of Commercial or Energy Trading
- Advanced knowledge of electricity markets is a prerequisite, knowledge of the Nordic electricity markets is a plus
- Proactive personality with the willingness to actively contribute and adapt to constant changes, strong stakeholder management skills
- Confident appearance with excellent presentation and communication skills
- Analytical skills and attention to details
- Fluency in English and Danish is a prerequisite
