Your position
In your new position as Senior Discipline Lead, Structural Construction at Semco Maritime, you will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team driving the design, production, and delivery of modern naval vessels for the Royal Danish Navy. You will have the opportunity to lead structural construction activities, ensuring technical excellence and efficient production — making a real impact on Denmark’s maritime defence capabilities.

Your place of work will be at our global headquarters located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish maritime industry, with inspiring waterfront views. This is a full-time, permanent position with occasional travel as required.
Your tasks & responsibilities
As Senior Discipline Lead, Structural Construction, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the structural construction activities during all phases of naval vessel production.
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Defining and planning the structural construction route from design to production
- Leading the production engineering process and supporting procurement with technical input
- Acting as the technical point of contact for structural construction matters across departments and suppliers
- Managing resources, supervising assembly, and ensuring quality, schedule, and HSE compliance
- Supporting production planning to develop efficient and buildable solutions
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled engineer who thrives in a multidisciplinary environment and is passionate about shipbuilding and naval defence.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- BSc or MSc in marine, mechanical, welding engineering, or a related discipline
- Solid experience in shipbuilding or offshore structural projects
- Familiarity with international classification rules (e.g., DNV, ABS) and knowledge of naval or defence standards is a plus
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and 3D models
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); Danish language skills are an advantage
- A structured, quality-focused approach with strong coordination and communication skills
- High personal integrity and awareness of health, safety, and environmental standards
