PPI is seeking 4 x WTG Pre-assembly quality & site Representative to oversee quality assurance and act as the primary representative at the pre-assembly site for SGRE turbines in Esbjerg. This role combines technical quality control responsibilities with on-site representation of the client’s Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) package, ensuring that all pre-assembly activities meet contractual, safety, and performance requirements while maintaining effective coordination with the WTG contractor, project team, and other stakeholders.
Quality Control
- Oversee quality control of nacelles, towers, blades, and other WTG components during delivery and pre-assembly.
- Ensure all Employer’s Requirements are fully implemented by the WTG contractor.
- Liaise with the WTG contractor’s quality representative to execute joint quality inspections and record findings in the client’s quality tracking system
- Maintain competent surveillance of manufacturing and pre-assembly activities across all assigned sites.
- Record work progress, inspections, and non-conformities in the client’s quality tracking system.
- Review inspection reports and escalate quality issues to the Quality Engineer.
- Identify and report potential Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), ensuring rectification is tracked and auditable.
- Ensure fabrication and pre-assembly areas maintain good housekeeping and effective controls to meet standards.
- Expedite missing quality documentation in collaboration with site personnel when requested by the Project Team.
Site Management
- Represent the client’s WTG package at the pre-assembly site and act as the main point of contact for all client activities on site.
- Attend regular construction meetings and conference calls.
- Ensure the WTG contractor complies with agreed procedures and documentation requirements, including safety, quality, performance, and customs.
- Coordinate site activities of the Employer with the WTG contractor, including installation vessel port calls, client-provided equipment delivery/backloading, and other logistical interfaces.
- Monitor, record, and report activities at the pre-assembly site.
- Coordinate and guide client personnel and other contractors working at the pre-assembly site.
- Coordinate and guide client visitors to the pre-assembly site.
- Check and sign-off daily progress reports.
- Work in full compliance with the client Code of Conduct and relevant HSE regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Team to meet contractual specifications, standards, and norms.
- Provide regular written and verbal reports on activities, risks, and performance.
- Perform other QA/QC or related site management tasks as directed.

Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-assembly quality or site management inspection or composite quality control, preferably in the wind energy sector.
- Deep understanding of construction practices, including but not limited to, heavy lifting/transport, marine management, completion/sub assembly activities and inspection experience. Proven experience in site management of pre-assembly/marshalling ports is essential;
- Experience in site safety management is essential;
- Experience in Wind Turbine Generator systems and equipment is essential;
- Experience in mechanical and electrical fit-out;
- Experience in quality assurance activities and performing inspection walk-downs;
- An ability to read and understand technical documents and observe operations to ensure that the Contractor is working to their accepted documentation;
- Conversant with international codes, procedures and specifications relevant to offshore construction activities;

- Familiarity with Siemens Gamesa turbine technologies and production standards.
- Solid knowledge of quality systems and standards (ISO 9001, IEC 61400, DNV, etc.).
- Competent in using inspection tools for composite structures and reading technical documentation.
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Able to review manufacturing records and manufacturing drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication standards ISO, EN, DNV and other industry norms
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- IT proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet)
- Strong reporting and communication skills in English.
- All GWO’s including medical with Chester step test would be advantageous
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications an advantage
- Current valid medical certificate and examinations for offshore work according to legal requirements.
