About the role
Your role as Quant Trader will challenge your creative and technical abilities, working across all aspects of algorithmic trading — from data exploration and research to backtesting, implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
On an average workday, your principal responsibilities will include:
Conducting research, development and validation of trading strategies in short-term power markets across Europe and North America
Collaborating with the team in the creative process around inventing new algo trading concepts by sharing and refining trading ideas together
Developing and maintaining tools that our algorithmic trading operations
Monitoring and maintaining live trading strategies
Together with fellow Quant Traders, Algo Developers, and Traders, you will be responsible for monetizing our trading strategies across the markets via algorithmic trading, with clear profit objectives
This role is based out of one of our locations in Denmark: Copenhagen or Aalborg.
About the team
We are a cross-disciplinary commercial team consisting of top-level people with diverse quantitative backgrounds, such as mathematicians, physicists, software engineers and computer scientists. We share a mission of spearheading research, development, deployment, and operation of trading algorithms within energy commodity markets.

About you
The ideal candidate has at least a few years of relevant experience and hold a master’s degree or higher in mathematics, physics, or a closely related field.
Furthermore, we expect that you:
Are talented and passionate about data science and/or quantitative modelling
Have a strong interest in trading
Bring a commercial mindset and the confidence to take your models to the market
Approach problems with curiosity, creativity, and an innovative spirit
Embrace challenges and excel at developing original solutions
Are an experienced user of Python or R
Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Have good communication skills in English
It will be an advantage if you have
Experience as a quant trader
Knowledge of short-term power markets in Europe or North America
Strong interest in coding
