About DDSA
DDSA was established in 2021 with the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Villum Foundation as sponsors. Our mission is to support the education and training of new generations of data science experts in Denmark, facilitate knowledge sharing across disciplines and sectors, and create a vibrant community through conferences and networking events. We are strongly founded in the Danish ecosystem with a dynamic organization with many volunteers and a dedicated secretariat.
About the job
As the Programme Lead for Data Resources, you will have an essential role in establishing the Knowledge Centre at DDSA serving the data science community by;
- Establish collaboration with providers of data and compute power
- Build curated overviews of data and compute power resources on DDSA’s digital platforms
- Host summits or roundtables for the community
- Conduct analyses and write scientific reports
- Write policy briefs on advisory topics and publish an annual roadmap
- Curating training material for the community
The secretariat has a vibrant, inclusive and co-creating culture and your active participation by lending a hand as well as listen and learn from each other is a pre-requisite for thriving on the job.
In the long term, you will have the opportunity to engage in broader community activities such as building an internship platform and co-creating training, courses and events for data science resources.
About you
We reckon that you bring with you:
- A relevant university degree (Master’s or PhD) in data science, computer science, bioinformatics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven experience in data management (governance, modelling, standards, analysis, compliance etc.) and within compute infrastructure (cloud computing, on-prem, HPC etc.) as well as relevant tools for collaboration (e.g., Git, Docker).
- Your work experience must also prove experience in knowledge dissemination, such as developing training programs, writing briefs, and/or building digital products.
- Additional experience with one or more of the following is a plus; programme lead, strategic advisor, project manager / scrum master, workshop facilitator and building communities of practice.
- You thrive in connecting people and ideas, and have a track record of organising events, mentoring, our teaching a course, and enjoy building relationships and fostering a sense of community.
- You are a team player who enjoy being part of a small staff with different professional skills whom together bring life to the mission of DDSA and the community.
- You take initiative, design solutions, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision. You stay ahead of trends, and you are comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping new initiatives in a mission-driven organisation.

Salary and appointment terms
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the collective agreement for Academics in the State (AC).
The position is a full-time position. You will be employed in a project employment until 31 December 2026.
