Job Title: Payroll Manager, Denmark & Sweden

Reports to: Head of European Payroll
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are on an exciting journey to transform our payroll operations across Europe. As we implement a new, unified European payroll platform and move towards an outsourced delivery model, we are looking for a visionary Payroll Manager to lead the payroll agenda for Denmark and Sweden. You will be a key member of our European payroll team, shaping future ways of working while ensuring compliance, quality, and employee experience. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and change driver who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about modernizing payroll operations.
WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Own payroll operations for Denmark and Sweden, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payroll execution in collaboration with our outsourced payroll provider.
- Act as country expert for labour laws, collective agreements, social security, tax, and regulatory changes in both countries, ensuring full compliance.
- Play a key role in the European payroll transformation project, contributing to the implementation of a new payroll platform and vendor model.
- Redesign and standardize end-to-end payroll processes in alignment with the new operating model and HR systems.
- Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders (P&C, SDO, IT and Legal) and external vendors.
- Drive change management and communication to ensure a smooth transition and high user adoption.
- Support audits and internal controls in close collaboration with compliance and finance teams.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WILL BE REQUIRED?
- Proven experience managing payroll and pay systems for both Denmark and Sweden.
- Deep knowledge of local labour law, social security, and tax regulations in DK and SE. Knowledge of Swedish regulations is considered a plus.
- Experience working with payroll outsourcing and/or implementing new payroll systems is a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Change-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and digital transformation.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English and at least one Scandinavian language (Danish or Swedish required).
