Operations Manager, Copenhagen Office

BW Epic Kosan owns and operates a fleet of 47 modern and high quality fully pressurised, semi-refrigerated and ethylene capable gas carriers providing seaborne services for the transportation of liquified petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals and other speciality gases. We are headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Copenhagen, Manila and Tokyo. Our vessels serve as a crucial link in the international gas supply chains of leading oil majors and commodity trading houses throughout Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, West Africa and the Americas. We employ approximately 2000 seafarers and a multi-national team of 200 shore-based staff.

• Supervise and manage daily operations of BWEK controlled tonnage.
• Voyage and fuel optimization and efficiency planning.
• Coordinate & liaise seamlessly with agents, ships, terminals, brokers & customers.
• Engage and cooperate closely internally across Commercial, Technical and Finance departments.
• Engage and maintain relationships externally with agents, terminals, brokers & customers.
• Handle and manage various types of claims such as performance, off-hire, demurrage and cargo.
• Planning and procurement of bunkers. Both conventional Fuels and Biofuels.
• Manage outstanding receivables.
• Handling all various invoices such as Freight, Demurrage, TC hire, final hire statements, charterers expenses, EU ETS, FuelEU, etc.
• Ensure BWEKs Voyage Management System (IMOS) is kept updated at all times.
• Address and resolve unexpected challenges swiftly, professionally and in a proactive manner.

• Educational background, bachelor level or similar, in shipping or logistics.
• Preferable minimum three years of experience in operations or chartering.
• International experience from other shipowners, oil majors, traders or brokers.
• Knowledge and mastering of commercial terms used within the Gas industry specifically is preferred as well as the wider shipping industry.
• Exceptional communication, proficiency in stakeholder management and negotiation strategies.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
• Danish residency and a valid work permit are an advantage but not a requirement.
