We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the assessment of our client's IT Operation and Outsources IT Services in relation to specific NIS2 requirements, and, depending on the outcome, prepare specific mitigating activities to comply with NIS2 as well as implementing those deemed required.
The NIS2 Project Manager for IT Operations and Outsourced IT Services will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the NIS2 Directive, specifically in the context of IT operations and outsourced IT services. This involves managing and mitigating cybersecurity risks related to both in-house IT systems and external providers. The role requires a strong understanding of NIS2 requirements, risk management, incident reporting, and the ability to work with both internal teams and external vendors.
As part of the NIS2 Cybersecurity Programme, a comprehensive list of requirements has been prepared and must be utilized in the analysis of the current IT operations setup. The NIS2 Cybersecurity programme will provide legal and cybersecurity guidance throughout the entire project.
This Project is one of overall 8 workstreams in the NIS2 Cybersecurity Programme and reporting to the Remediation Delivery Manager.
Location: Greater Copenhagen, onsite for a minimum of two days per week.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Has successfully managed and lead several IT Operations projects and understands related processes
- Possesses a depth understanding of how Cyber Controls are implemented within an IT operations environment, including risk assessment and risk mitigation activities
- Has completed multiple IT operation assessment in relation to compliance assessments, i.e., ISO, EEC, GDPR or Schrems (and potential NIS2)
- Is technical foundation within IT Operation, Sourcing or similar technical environments
- Is highly efficient in both verbal and written communication and can convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Has strong analytical abilities and is a proactive problem-solver
- Excels in planning, coordination, reporting and execution and always ensures that deliverables are in line with established milestones
- Facilitates timely decision‑making and maintain transparent escalation pathways
- Nice-to-have: Understands the current cybersecurity challenges and regulatory requirements (ref. Klima-, Energi- og Forsyningsministeriet, Lov om styrket beredskab i energisektoren af 06/03/2025)
- Nice-to-have: Experience from the wind industry
- Proffesionel level of English - both oral and written
- Able to join the project in August, preferably
- Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away
- Lead and implement a NIS2 compliance programme with clearly defined safeguarding responsibilities from our client's key EU operating markets
