About the role
ECIT seeks a skilled and analytically strong Group Financial Controller to join our Group Controlling team. This role is particularly suited for someone passionate about process optimization, automation, and driving change through IT solutions in finance. You will be a central figure in a dynamic, cross-border Group Finance team of more than 15 experienced finance professionals across Denmark, Norway, and Lithuania.
As part of the Finance Group, you will deliver financial reporting and control to various management functions. Next to that, you will act as the main driver of automation initiatives within the finance function. You will take ownership of improving and streamlining our financial reporting processes by leveraging tools such as Power BI, Alteryx, or similar platforms. Your input will be essential in shaping the future of how ECIT works with data, reporting, and decision-making support.
Key responsibilities include:
- Together with the rest of the team, prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Leading the automation and digitalization of financial processes and reporting tools
- Driving optimization of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process
- Conducting various analyses in the monthly closing process (e.g., cash flow, growth, margins, and IFRS 16 leasing)
- Collaborating closely with business units and shared service centers across the Nordics and Baltics
The position is based at ECIT’s Danish headquarters in Herlev and reports to Henrik Korsholm, Head of Controlling & Reporting.
About you
We are looking for a self-driven finance professional who thrives in a performance-oriented environment and is motivated by making a lasting impact through better systems and smarter workflows. You are structured, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling complex group structures, but more importantly, you are eager to challenge the status quo and modernize finance. The perfect candidate has some experience in group finance controlling (working in a group finance function) and some experience working with automation/digitalization to support the financial reporting structure.

Key qualifications and skills:
- Financial background – some experience in financial controlling, analysis, and reporting at the group level
- Proven track record of working with or implementing automation tools (e.g., Power BI, VBA, SQL, Alteryx, or similar)
- Takes ownership of tasks and ensures deadlines are met
- A team player who collaborates effectively and supports colleagues
- Ability to act as a sparring partner for various stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with a structured approach
- Proficient in Danish and English, both written and spoken
- Super-user in Excel and the Microsoft Office suite
