What you will be doing
As Group Business Controller in Group Finance, you will be supporting our strategic decision making at Group level. You will act as finance business partner and leverage your expertise from business finance to drive performance management and provide insightful analysis across our Group entities.
You will be part of a small Group Business Controlling team, working at our ROCKWOOL Headquarter in Hedehusene. Group Business Controlling is responsible for the Group's financial planning and analytical processes, and support to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly and quarterly profit and cost analyses, interpret results, and translate into meaningful commentary to Board, Group Management and other stakeholders across the organisation
Be able to leverage data and deep business knowledge to provide insights that allows the business to make decision more effectively
Drive weekly updates on sales development and risk assessment from development in commodities and market impacts
Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes
Challenge business performance and proactively identify risks and opportunities for all business areas in ROCKWOOL
Support continually development, improvement and implementation of group-wide controlling processes, policies, and tools to ensure accuracy and consistency for all relevant partners
Support development, maintenance and improvement of financial models for planning and business follow-up, making complex situations simple to manage
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant data and inputs for optimising financial planning processes
Participate in and provide ad-hoc financial support for special projects when needed
What you bring
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or similar
- Bring minimum 5-6 years’ experience in a business controlling role or within analysis, business finance, corporate finance or consultancy from an international company
- Solid toolbox in finance aspects such as P&L items, balance sheet and cash flow
- Solid knowledge of reporting and planning processes and tools, and curious in how AI can be applied in Business Controlling and Finance
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with colleagues across all organisational levels
- Curiosity, proactiveness, and an ambitious mind with a strong drive
- Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills including attention to details
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on addressing business challenges through data-driven insights
