Job Description:
Become a global advisor on compliance
Are you ready to play a key role in shaping how we engage with the world? Help us ensure that our communications with external stakeholders adhere to industry standards – while guiding how we responsibly and effectively market our products.
“Having reproductive health as one of our main therapeutic areas is quite unique. Our products help people build families, which shapes not only how we develop and market them, but also how we engage with clinics, doctors, and patients – bringing unique compliance considerations into play,” explains Oscar Perdomo, Head of Global Compliance (Ex. US).
Join Ferring in this long-term maternity cover (minimum 18 months) to support a key aspect of the product lifecycle by providing clear communication on how to market our reproductive health products to the public in accordance with regulations and guidelines.
Ferring + you
As a pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer, we have ethical and legal obligations to patients, healthcare professionals, and government healthcare regulators – and we have made a commitment to conducting our business with continued integrity.
In this global role, you will work at our International PharmaScience Center (IPC) in Copenhagen, where you will be a member of our Global Compliance Office (GCO). We oversee healthcare compliance across the Ferring organization to ensure we adhere to pharmaceutical industry standards.
Your day at Ferring
In this role, you will support a variety of projects across the GCO that focus on the continued development and enhancement of the compliance program. Managing the projects effectively will require you to utilize your strong pharmaceutical background, extensive experience with compliance, and strong communication skills.
You will collaborate with GCO colleagues and other departments to create and implement effective strategies to achieve compliance. Serving as a critical business partner, you will provide guidance and propose solutions for global functions and projects initiated at IPC.
Specifically, you will:
- Review and approve medical and commercial activities according to Ferring policies, global regulations, and industry better practices
- Support the review of and necessary updates to the global compliance policy
- Develop and provide regular training on compliance-related topics, policies, and/or procedures to relevant employees
- Implement Ferring’s Aggregate Spend initiative for IPC by ensuring compliance with country requirements, executing comprehensive data collection, and submitting timely filings to the government, as required by law
- As needed, support audits, monitoring activities, due diligence, and investigations by gathering information, assessing the effectiveness of controls, documenting findings, and proposing corrective actions
Behind our innovation – there’s you
You bring strong pharmaceutical experience, with insight not only into how products are made, but also into the work done by commercial and non-commercial teams in various environments. Additionally, you possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to collaborate with and become a trusted advisor to a variety of colleagues across our organization.
You also have:
- Extensive experience with compliance from a pharmaceutical, biotech, or device manufacturer
- In-depth understanding of compliance issues confronting the pharmaceutical, biotech, or device industries
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the requirements for effective compliance programs
- An advanced professional degree or healthcare compliance certification
