Transformation Manager – Finance Business Partner strategic initiatives/products
(VSaaS & Consumption Models)
About the Role
We are seeking a result-oriented Finance Transformation Manager to act as the lead finance resource for Project Hafnia. Milestone Systems recently introduced Project Hafnia—an innovative AI platform developed in collaboration with NVIDIA—to drive responsible, high-quality video data training for visual AI models. With an emphasis on transparency and compliance, the platform accelerates model development through curated datasets and domain-specific AI services.
As finance partner on this strategic initiative, you will support the commercial team with financial insight across different stages of the product journey. You will help ensure strong financial governance, cost tracking, and operational scalability as Milestone continues to invest in ethical AI innovation. You will play a key part in transforming financial tools and processes from immature to mature states.
Reporting directly to the VP, Group Finance, you will work closely with the Commercial team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, to support both early-stage and mature offerings. This includes building closed tool stacks (e.g., Stripe) to support pilots and guiding the evolution toward enterprise-grade, scalable systems as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead finance representative for Project Hafnia, supporting the Commercial team with financial insights, modeling, and compliance.
- Design, document, and implement financial processes and controls to support VSaaS and usage-based offerings, including billing, revenue recognition, and forecasting.
- Partner with Product, Global Sales Operations, and IT to enable quote-to-cash and billing system enhancements.
- Lead the transformation from immature financial tools and processes to scalable, milestone-based ERP and enterprise systems.
- Provide financial support for early-stage commercial offerings, with flexibility to adapt as products mature.
- Ensure financial compliance with revenue recognition standards and audit requirements.
- Define and monitor key metrics and usage trends to support pricing, budgeting, and investment planning.
- Configure and integrate financial tools, including closed systems like Stripe, to meet the needs of early-stage operations.
- Build scalable frameworks for financial processes and systems to support commercial growth.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure alignment as offerings transition through various stages of development.
- Support offerings throughout their lifecycle—from experimentation to scale—with agile and robust financial strategies.
- Deliver financial reporting, analysis, and strategic insights to senior leadership, including the VP, Group Finance.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in finance, revenue operations, or financial systems—preferably in a VSaaS, technology, or subscription-based environment.
- Deep understanding of recurring and consumption-based revenue models, metrics, and processes.
- Proven experience supporting commercial or go-to-market teams through financial strategy, planning, and process enablement.
- Experience with financial systems and ERP/CPQ/billing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Stripe).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and influence business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfort with ambiguity and ability to bring structure to evolving innovative environments.
This role is ideal for candidates passionate about financial transformation and eager to enable innovation through strong commercial finance partnership and scalable process design.
