On behalf of Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – the service provider to the global fund management firm Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) – we are looking for a Finance Project Manager to join the Global Finance team. You will become part of the Platform Excellence team, a relatively new unit established in early 2024, currently consisting of three ambitious in-house professionals and several skilled external project consultants.
Through close collaboration with the global finance teams, service providers, and other important stakeholders, the team’s ultimate purpose is to help the business identify and execute on effective process optimizations, system optimizations, or implementations. The team takes pride in understanding business needs in order to identify the best solutions and ensure projects and initiatives are completed successfully. Your efforts will have a great impact in enabling the business to operate more digitally, efficiently, and scalable within the finance and accounting area.
More specifically, you will be an integral part of idea generations for optimization project and initiatives, business case preparations, project delivery, including project planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, implementation, and business integration within the global finance function.
You will report directly to Head of Platform Excellence and be based at CIP’s headquarters in Copenhagen, Nordhavn.
As Finance Project Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Help the business identifying and addressing areas for improvement within the global finance and accounting area
- Prepare and present business cases for the PMO board on identified initiatives and projects for project approvals
- Leading project manager on delegated finance projects, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder management, preparation of different presentation material for SteerCo meetings, global finance meetings etc.
- Optimizing workflows through process improvements, education, and efficient use of business systems, or by implementing new features or systems
- Ensuring initiatives are effectively anchored within the finance function to fulfill the mission of digitizing, streamlining, and scaling the operations. This includes designing, implementing, and anchoring robust governance frameworks for efficient system operation and maintenance
- Optimizing processes and system support with a focus on internal controls
- Preparing essential documentation and user guides for new initiatives, ensuring they are well implemented and anchored within the appropriate teams
- Collaborating with external implementation partners to ensure that the business needs are met through robust and scalable system solutions.
- Consistently evaluating all new initiatives and implementations within a broader context to guarantee that the systems and processes operate efficiently and maintain seamless integration throughout the finance function
Finance Professional with experience
We are looking for a finance professional with a strong academic background and relevant work experience. The ideal candidate has a solid academic background and relevant professional experience. A master’s degree in a field such as Business Economics and Auditing, Accounting, or a related discipline is required. You bring at least 7 years of experience within finance, accounting, or controlling – ideally from a similar role in a global organization, or within consulting.
You have a strong understanding of operational finance processes and internal controls, as well as hands-on experience with project-based work within the finance and accounting domain. Solid knowledge of finance systems and data governance is essential. You are experienced in managing finance-related projects with a focus on process optimization, and you understand how to create alignment across multiple business areas.
Accustomed to working in an international environment, you navigate complex stakeholder landscapes with confidence. You bring strong collaboration skills, a structured and detail-oriented approach, and the ability to work both independently and proactively to deliver on tasks and responsibilities.
