Job Req Number: 98427
Time Type: Full Time
Are you ready to own and train our methods for running centralisation and automation initiatives worldwide and thereby redefining how we operate in DSV Road?
At DSV Road, we’re on a mission to centralise and automate our standardised white-collar business processes across our global Road division - and we’re looking for a dynamic Method Owner in the Centralised Business Operations team to make it happen.
Your mission
As our new CBO Method Owner, you will act as exclusive owner of our standard methodologies for how we execute centralisations and/or automations from Road divisional level, into our Road organisation, to leverage business synergies across our global regions.
This role is crucial to ensure our Road business´ adherence to standard methodologies and hold responsibility for driving the continuous method improvements (both technology or processes) and development of best practices across Road regions.
At DSV, you will join a newly established business function called Centralised Business Operations (CBO) under the DSV Road COO area. Here you will report to our Vice President for CBO Road.
Working from our DSV HQ in Hedehusene, Denmark, (most preferred job location) you will be part of an international, innovative and fast paced working environment.
The vision of the CBO department is to streamline DSV Road business processes by “gaining muscle, not fat”, i.e., to deliver competitive centralisation and automation solutions to all standard white-collar processes, based on a high service level combined with attractive cost levels.
Our mission and mandate are to continuously challenge and drive transformation of our Road business and how we operate on core processes globally.
What does the role involve and what are we looking for
This job role requires a profile with evident experiences from driving business process optimizations and taking strong ownership for the methodological approaches in bigger organisations.
As you will start with defining the methods, translating them into powerful guidelines and training materials, while actively rolling them out into the Road regions too.
But you will not stop there - you will also continuously improve the established methods and act as direct support to Road centralisation/automation projects where needed. All of this will require a natural interest in business process work and a high sense of ownership/drive to establish and ensure adherence to methods.
What you’ll do
- Continuously develop the methods and approaches for doing centralisations and automations – incl. creation of compelling and state-of-the-art guidelines and training materials/templates.
- Collect, formalize and share best practices across Road regions and to involved stakeholders.
- Provide training to regional CBO teams on methods and approaches for doing centralisation and automation.
- Act as “superuser” and active trainer (i.e., part of a project team) in certain regional or global centralisation & automation projects. For example for supporting and training local CBO teams in regions and their executions.
- Align continuously with DSV Global Business Services (GBS) as the central unit to offshore business processes to in DSV. Act as single point of contact for GBS to ensure connection & alignment with standard methodologies in DSV Road and DSV GBS.
We imagine success of this role looks like
- Your defined methods are applied globally and proven successful in regions´ executions – both in terms of quality but also cost-effectiveness (e.g., time-to-market, achieved cost savings, etc.)
- You have achieved a high number of qualified “train-the-trainers” and implemented your expertise in the regions.
- You have built a close and strong expertise collaboration with GBS, ensuring a smooth business process centralisation flow from the Road business to GBS.
What you bring
- Methodological expertise in centralisation and/or automation of business processes.
- Hands-on experiences from executing centralisation and/or automation projects yourself.
- Ability to gather best practices and compile clear guidelines/rulebooks for understanding and adherence by others.
- Ability to act as trainer of eg. project teams in regions – onsite and/or virtually.
Who you are
- A confident and resilient leader who thrives working in a global enterprise and with a broad stakeholder landscape.
- A natural communicator and collaborator who builds bridges across teams, business domains and regional organisations.
- A results-driven professional with a strong delivery mindset.
- A pragmatic decision-maker who prioritises facts and progress.
- Open, transparent, and committed to shared success build on strong collaboration.
What can you expect from our team
You’ll join our newly established CBO Road department on divisional level that is currently being build up and eventually to include 5-8 colleagues (constantly growing with the number of processes that will be centralised or automated on global level)
We aim to foster a team spirit with focus on:
- Accountability & dedication – we are responsible for shaping and optimizing the Road standard methods for running centralisation and automation initiatives worldwide.
- Openness & trust – required to both form the foundation for our internal collaboration in the team but also with all our many stakeholders surrounding us.
- Fun while achieving results – winning is fun and winning together as a team is most fun! And while we´re achieving tangible results for DSV Road and our shareholders this will be our recipe to succeed together and keeping constructive optimism.
