Shape the future of Endoscopy Systems
Ambu’s Endoscopy Systems include monitors and processors used with our single-use endoscopes to visualize and record clinical procedures. The embedded software enables image optimization, video capture, and other features that support clinicians in real-time.
As Product Owner for our agile software applications teams, you will own the backlog and work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to define and deliver the right features at the right time.
You will report to the Head of Endoscopy Systems Release and work out of our HQ in Ballerup, Denmark, while being part of a global R&D Software & Electronics team of 80+ professionals across Denmark, Germany, and Malaysia.
Your responsibilities:
Own and prioritize the product backlog for the Software Applications teams
Align the backlog with customer and business needs in close collaboration with Marketing, UX, Clinical, and Systems Engineering
Translate high-level concepts into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
Participate in PI Planning and sprint events to guide the team and ensure shared understanding
Balance feature development with technical maintenance and quality improvements
Provide transparency through regular updates and stakeholder engagement
Contribute to an agile mindset and support best practices within the team and across the program
We imagine you have:
A degree in Software Engineering or a related technical field
Proven experience as a Product Owner (or similar role) in an agile software development context
Familiarity with electronic products containing software (embedded or application layer)
Experience with SAFe, LeSS, or other scaled agile frameworks
Understanding of medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA, IEC 62304, SaMD) is a plus
Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially across functions and cultures
A user-focused, analytical mindset with a structured approach to prioritization
