The European Space Agency Technology Broker Denmark (ESA TB DK) is looking for a Business Analyst (MSc student or recent graduate) with a keen interest in deep tech innovation and technology driven business development to join our team part-time.
DTU Space Ventures is part of the Technical University of Denmark and acts as the home base for Denmark’s space commercialisation activities. Two key programmes are anchored here – the ESA Business Incubation Centre Denmark and the ESA Technology Broker Denmark. Together, these programmes help Danish companies turn space into business: ESA BIC Denmark targets start ups by offering funding, business mentoring and access to technical facilities and networks, while ESA Technology Broker Denmark assists established companies to utilize space technology commercially and to “spin in” non space innovations into future space programmes.
What you will do
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in ESA TB DK at DTU Space Ventures by supporting Danish companies in identifying and pursuing opportunities in the space sector, as well as engaging with key stakeholders in the Danish entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Tasks include
- Identifying Danish companies that could take advantage of today`s booming global space ecosystem to strengthen their business.
- Advising Danish companies in navigating the Danish and European funding landscapes to identify appropriate opportunities.
- Assisting companies throughout funding application processes, particularly by providing feedback and input for the business plan components of an application.
- Assessing opportunities for company growth, whether through collaborations, events, or development programs, in the Danish space and entrepreneurial ecosystems, as well as the greater European landscape.
- Building and strengthening ESA TB DK relationships with companies in the Danish space and innovation ecosystems, including through desktop and in-person outreach efforts.
- Supporting our efforts to grow international collaborations within the Nordics, within our pan-European ESA Technology Broker Network and beyond Europe, to strengthen our Danish companies` international growth potential.
We are looking for a candidate who
- Is currently pursuing or has recently completed an MSc in Business, Innovation, Entrepreneurship or a similar field.
- Has experience in performing market analyses, along with assessing the competitive landscape of a given segment.
- Has experience working with tech-based innovation and / or a thorough understanding of early-stage, technology-driven business development.
- Has strong networking skills, with an interest in creating collaborations between various entities, such as companies, organizations, and governmental bodies.
What is the ESA Technology Broker
ESA Technology Broker Denmark was established in 2024 as the Danish branch of the European ESA network. ESA TB DK supports the development of Danish companies working in space technology – or those utilizing space technologies here on Earth – to promote the commercialization of space technology and satellite data for the benefit of Danish industry and society at large.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC)
The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus, Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark. Working hours are 15-20h per week.
We are looking for a candidate to fill the position from November 1st (or as soon as possible).
You will be employed at the Technical University of Denmark, be reporting to Manager of DTU Space Ventures, Sune Nordentoft Lauritsen, and be an integral part of the ESA Technology Broker Denmark team.
