1. About the Role
As a Technical Manager , you will leverage your technical expertise to resolve complex challenges within new product development projects, applying solid engineering insight and effectively documenting conclusions. You will play a key role in planning, scope breakdown, and execution, while coordinating closely with Sales teams, Project Managers, and Subject Matter Experts to identify milestones and drivers for innovative subsea solutions.
In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for a large qualification and testing scope for flexible pipe development , managing risk and ensuring client specifications and standards are met. You will be a central point for technical assessments and communication, both internally and externally, working in close collaboration with customers, suppliers, and project teams.

4. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership in new product development projects , particularly for unbonded flexible pipes.
- Perform technical analyses, resolve engineering challenges, and document conclusions clearly and effectively.
- Plan, break down project scope, estimate resources, and manage risks across engineering, procurement, and prototype production.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Project Managers, Sales teams, Subject Matter Experts, and customers to align on milestones and requirements.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, standards, and regulations.
- Represent NOV in customer interactions, presenting technical solutions and supporting project execution.
- Mentor and involve project team members in technical matters, meetings, and supplier engagements.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and technical innovation across the team. Support continuous improvement in processes, tools, and product development methodologies.
5. Qualifications & Skills
Essential Qualifications
- M.Sc. or PhD in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical background and experience with flexible pipes .
- Experience in project management (planning, scope breakdown, resource estimation).
- High-level English communication skills , with ability to engage customers, operators, and international teams.
- Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on technical work and make sound engineering judgments.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience within subsea oil & gas or energy transition technologies.
- Knowledge of subsea standards, regulations, and best practices .
- Exposure to supplier management and large-scale qualification/test programs .
