The University Library – Campus Sønderborg is looking for a student assistant to support the library services. If you are outgoing, flexible and service-minded, then it may be just you that we are missing.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
Communication of Library events and services:
- Introducing the student-to-student dimension to our work
- Assisting in organizing Library events
- Promoting Library events through via, flyers, …
- Holding the Library events
- Occasionally guided tours of the library and its services Assisting in teaching “Information searching” to SDU students
Circulation desk:
- Helping our users, including manning the desk
- Answer basic informational, directional and library policy questions, help users in using Self-service machine Other duties as assigned
We expect you to have:
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A keen interest in books and the benefits of reading
- A methodical and well-organized approach
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good computer skills
- Being active in SoMe Good English and Danish skills
Salary and employment conditions
The appointment is with effect from 1 August 2025 until 30 June 2026 with the working time of (on average) 6 hours per. week.
Employment takes place in accordance with an agreement between the Ministry of Finance and SUL.
Note: When employed as a student assistant, it is a prerequisite that the selected candidate is enrolled as a student at SDU.
