At Oticon Medical, we develop and market bone-anchored hearing systems - including implants, sound processors, software, and accessories. The Project Management Office (PMO) responsibilities are to drive, support and coordinate cross-functional projects to make sure they are delivered on time and quality according to Oticon Medical business goals. In addition, the PMO is responsible for Project Portfolio Management and owns of the Product Development process.
Reporting to the Senior Director PMO located in Gotenborg, Sweden, you will drive cross-functional product development and strategic projects, as well as being an important asset in bringing our product assortment and company into a sustainable future.
Your Role
As Senior Project Manager you will:
• Manage and lead global cross-functional product development and strategic projects according to the quality management system, including medical device segment regulations
• Be responsible for timing, content, and quality of the project
• Secure project definition and activation
• Review and approve project documentation
• Be end-to-end responsible for delivering products to the market according to the product roadmap and project pipeline
• Manage and follow-up on project budget and product cost/margin
• Follow up and report project status to steering committee and stakeholders
• Leading gate reviews ensuring timely and quality delivery of projects
• Follow relevant processes and standards
• Ensure full launch readiness of products in product development projects.
Your Profile
• Engineering degree with 10+ years’ experience in managing larger projects both in product development and other strategic areas.
• 5+ years’ experience from medical devices and/or life science with a focus on medical device development.
• Strong technical understanding of advanced electro-mechanical products and production environments.
• Experience from mechatronic, acoustical and/or audiology areas.
• Excellent relationship-building skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Pragmatic, structured, and efficiency-driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel (~40 days/year) within Sweden, Denmark, Poland, and France.
