As a Senior Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of delivering MUSE (our Multi-Sensor bird detection system) technology, playing a role in protecting wildlife in the offshore wind industry. From contract negotiations to onshore and offshore installation of our systems, through to operational handover, you’ll manage every phase of these complex projects that blend advanced technology with environmental responsibility. You will be key in managing diverse stakeholders and ensuring commercial success while safeguarding biodiversity.
About Us
Over the past 10 years, DHI’s MUSE (DHI MUSE) has been at the forefront of bird and bat detection for offshore wind farms worldwide. As countries ramp up offshore renewable energy development, environmental requirements are increasing. Our MUSE technology combines radar, cameras, microphones, and more sensors to track and protect vulnerable species of birds and bats in and around wind farms, providing critical data for environmental impact assessments and scientific research.

An increased demand for our services means that we are looking to expand our team with new colleagues that have experience in project implementation within the (offshore) renewable energy sector focused on complex technological solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Project management of complex multi-system, multi-subcontractor EPC projects in the 5-15 mil€ range-that use cutting-edge environmental monitoring technology. Includes some hands-on involvement to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
- Lead and oversee full project lifecycle execution for EPC and offshore renewable energy projects, managing resources, schedules, budgets, risks, subcontractors, and mitigation strategies to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders to align project objectives with commercial and environmental requirements.
- Supervise and coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and support functions, ensuring collaboration, alignment, and efficient project delivery.
- Mentor and lead junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development within multidisciplinary teams.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by contributing to the development of new tools, services, templates, and technical solutions in alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor’s or ideally master’s degree in engineering, Environmental Sciences, Renewable Energy, Project Management or a related technical field
- Solid experience managing complex multi mil € projects and leading teams in offshore wind, renewable energy, environmental monitoring, or other offshore engineering/construction environments. A proven track record of working within a dynamic environment in high-performance, multi-disciplinary international teams and with diverse stakeholders including clients and subcontractors.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices (PMI or PRINCE2 qualifications would be an advantage).
- Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts, and client expectations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to take the lead on project reports and other deliverables, and present to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with proposal development, business development, and client relationship management.
- Enthusiasm for identifying and understanding client needs and developing solutions to meet them.
- Experience working with radar and/or camera systems for automated surveillance will be an advantage.
- Confident with electrical and mechanical engineering concepts, from design standards to commissioning best practices.
- Skills within the following areas are also very welcomed: ornithology, A.I. , software development, data analysis, environmental projects. Excellent collaboration and people management skills, able to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and nationalities.

- Innovative, proactive, curious, and dedicated to obtaining results that make a difference and advance industry standards in bird detection technology.
- Awareness of offshore wind industry standards, operation standards, and protocols.
- Strong communication skills in English are required.
Danish and/or Dutch language skills would be considered an advantage. Fluency in Polish would be considered an advantage, especially for the position in Gdynia.

- Some travel activities can be expected, including trips to DHI's subsidiaries.
