Responsible for the total product lifecycle (TPLC) and business goals for assigned product portfolio(s).
Assist in developing and leading execution of the strategy for assigned product portfolio(s) in alignment with specialty, division and company business goals, vision and strategy.
Ensure the assigned product portfolio(s) and team is efficient, effective, and compliant in meeting the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders and communicate those needs to Division leadership.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the assigned product portfolio(s) from feasibility through commercialization including the product idea development process, opportunity assessments to evaluate future products and line extensions, and supporting and collaborating with Research and Development (R&D) throughout the product development process.
Solve problems-that impact multiple departments or specialties using prior experience and analysis of issues.
Collaborate with specialty leadership to establish and drive aligned business goals and strategy across specialty product portfolio(s)
Plan and execute efficient product roll-outs through collaboration with strategic marketing, product launch teams, sales, commercial business, regulatory, R&D, and manufacturing.
In collaboration with the commercial business team, continuously evaluate and improve profitability for the assigned product portfolio(s) through development of the product pricing strategy and supply chain effectiveness. Monitor key metrics in line with company and Division financial objectives.
May have budget or product P&L accountability for area of responsibility, or manage elements of the budget.
Collaborate with Human Resources in the process of hiring, developing, and retaining a high performing, diverse workforce.
Establish and maintain strong team communication through regular interactions and meetings. and ensure the team is aware of division and company mission, vision, purpose, and business strategy and overall company status and news.
Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback, both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while recognizing employees for their contributions.
Work with each team member on a unique development plan including strengths, areas to improve, and career goals that is reviewed and revised on a quarterly basis.
Responsible for performance and wage reviews for team members.
Meet deadlines and ensure employees complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, submission of performance reviews, etc. in a timely manner.
Prior Global Product Management experience managing individual or multiple product lines.
Minimum 10 Years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to, product management, engineering, sales and/or marketing.
Advanced degree (Masters or MBA or equivalent) may reduce the years of experience requirement.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing product strategies and plans that drive business goals.
Demonstrates mastery level knowledge within multiple aspects of product management (e.g. clinical, technical, business acumen, etc.) within applicable product portfolios and market(s).
Prior people management experience
Demonstrated positive and productive working relationships with sales, marketing, engineering, operations and/or other relevant company teams.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience in Product Management or equivalent in the medical device industry.
Excel in a highly collaborative team setting.
Demonstrates the ability to think strategically.
Actively involved in mentoring peers within current department.
Active participant/presenter/leader in meetings, conference calls, and/or training activities.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Ability to travel internationally, domestically and weekends as needed up to 50%.
Work under general office environmental conditions.
