Senior Machine Learning & AI Engineer

As a Senior Machine Learning & AI Engineer at Danish Crown, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable machine learning systems. You will collaborate with Data Scientists to transform data insights into actionable models and integrate them into our products and services. You will be involved in various projects, such as:
- Commodity, livestock, and product forecasting.
- Object detection and tracking in real-time video feeds from production sites.
Success starts with a team
You will become part of the Data Science team within the Data, Analytics & AI space in the Global IT department. We work out of Denmark and Poland and the position can be filled in either country.
We work on multiple initiatives for various business units, with tasks around delivering data analysis and insights, modelling of complex data sources, and research and implementation of machine learning and deep learning models for tasks such as time-series forecasting, image recognition, or natural language processing, amongst others.
We are curious about the latest developments in our space, and therefore actively encourage everyone to have an innovative mindset and propose their ideas for further incubation.
Key responsibilities:
You’ll be part of helping Danish Crown become a data-first organization. Your main tasks will include:
- Researching, implementing, and testing machine learning models for a wide variety of use cases, such as demand forecasting, commodity trading, factory optimization, or vision-based solutions.
- Designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines and machine learning systems following MLOps principles.
- Building end-to-end machine learning pipelines to train and deploy the models from development to production.
- Monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing cloud-based machine learning services running in Azure cloud.
- Staying up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies.
- Mentoring and guiding junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Additional Qualifications:
- Your educational background is not important, as you can just as easily be selftaught within this area. But relevant educations could be a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, AI or data science roles.
- Fluent in English. Understanding the local language can be a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms and version control.
- Experience in delivering models following MLOps principles and efficient and readable code following TDD-principles.
