Join our dedicated team at Novonesis in Avedøre, where you will play a crucial role in enhancing safety across our state-of-the-art production facility for the Dairy and Human Health Industry.

At Site Avedøre, we pride ourselves on producing high-quality microbes with advanced technology and a committed workforce. Our team works collaboratively across all production departments, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for over 350 employees.
In this role you will make an impact by:
As a Safety Specialist, you will support the Site Leadership team in continuously improving safety standards on the shop floor. You will identify potential hazards, conduct risk assessments, and implement preventive measures. Furthermore, you will provide essential safety training and instructions for all employees, ensuring compliance with Global Minimum Requirements.
In this role you will make an impact by:
Performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions following accidents or near-misses
Collaborating with all levels of the organization, from operators to leaders
Engaging with internal stakeholders, particularly in Global Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)
Reporting directly to the Site Leadership Team
Driving a proactive safety culture aligned with business goals
To succeed you must:
Hold a degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related technical field
Have over 5 years of shop floor experience in a similar or closely related industry
Have a strong understanding of occupational health and safety standards, including ISO 45001 and ATEX
Be proficient in incident investigation tools such as root cause analysis and Fishbone diagrams
Be familiar with digital safety tools, e.g., Intelex
Additionally, we expect you to demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in a production environment, collaborating effectively with colleagues at all levels. You will take ownership of initiatives and have the capability to enhance the safety culture within our facility.
