As a Quantum Engineer at GlobalConnect, you’ll be working at the forefront of quantum communication technology, contributing to next-generation secure communication systems. We are collaborating with DTU on several quantum communication projects while also engaging with our customers to explore how quantum technology will reshape the future of security.
To support both ongoing projects and the development of new quantum-secure products, we are looking for someone eager to help establish safe and secure communication in the quantum era.
What you'll be doing:
In this role, you will:
- Participate in national and international quantum communication projects in collaboration with DTU, universities, security companies, and other key stakeholders
- Collaborate across teams at GlobalConnect and external partners to define and develop relevant use cases
- Contribute technical expertise to quantum field trials and ensure practical security is maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Set up and participate in meetings with customers and partners to discuss new quantum-safe setups
- Present findings to high-level stakeholders and support knowledge sharing within the organization
- Continuously absorb, structure, and communicate new knowledge in the practical application of quantum-safe technologies

To be part of this journey, we believe you have:
- A relevant degree focused on security, network communications, or quantum communication
- A keen interest in communication security and how it can be applied in real networks
- Hands-on experience or deep curiosity about securing communication networks
- Confident in presenting technical topics and coordinating across diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with quantum key distribution (QKD) or post-quantum cryptography is a strong plus
- Proficiency in English (Danish is a plus for business communication)
- Please note: A security clearance will be required for this role.
