Supports Manager and Deputy Manager by taking supervisory responsibility for day-to-day coordination of team activities. Ensuring that processes and procedures are completed promptly and consistently and that team activities are in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading, directing, coaching and developing Team members in cooperation with Station Manager or his Deputy Manager .
- Ensure team awareness of current processes and procedures, targets and goals.
- Ensure all activities are in line with Company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee initiatives in order to deliver planned results on time and within budget.
- Assist with management and control of costs.
- Deliver continuous optimization and improvement of (work) processes.
- Assist with completion of accurate and timely reporting.
- Participate in Logistics Transport Provider tenders and continued follow up with respect to agreed service levels
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a people leadership role.
- Analytical skills, and the ability to plan and organize meticulously.
- Good communication and social skills and ability to present to a wide audience confidently.
- Experience in working with your own couriers and possibly dispatching routes
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience with leading / delivering projects.
- Proven decision-making skills.
