At FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Denmark, we're seeking a new Head of Communications to lead our communication strategy, planning, and content development. You'll support the local Site Head and Leadership Team by spearheading efforts that enhance our brand and optimize our internal and external communication processes. The role is pivotal in establishing thought leadership, nurturing internal culture, and enhancing our external reputation via effective stakeholder and media relations and dynamic social media engagement. Strong collaboration with the global corporate affairs team is essential. The role aims to improve trust and motivation within the organization and ensure a comprehensive communications plan that reflects both local and global priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic communication and planning
Design and implement integrated communications strategies that align with business objectives and reflect both local and global priorities.
Enhance the company’s overall reputation within Denmark, and globally, fostering organizational trust and motivation.
Content development for internal and external channels.
Oversee creation of compelling content, including press releases, reports, blogs, and internal communications.
Close cooperation with the site leadership team, the People & Culture department and other relevant stakeholders.
Lead a small but engaged local communication team
Stakeholder and Media Relations:
Cultivate and manage relationships with local leaders and key media outlets.
Build strong external relationships with industry associations and other stakeholders
Develop press materials and respond to media inquiries to maximize positive coverage of the company’s activities.
Support leadership in establishing a strong voice within the industry at local level but with global impact.
Thought leadership
Identify opportunities for speaking engagements and authored articles.
Together with the corporate team elevate our social media presence with innovative strategies that resonate with diverse stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze social media metrics to enhance engagement.
Employee Communication and Events:
Drive communication programs that bolster employee engagement and internal culture.
Work closely with the site leadership team and the People & Culture department to ensure alignment.
Plan and execute internal events that support cultural engagement and align with our communication initiatives.
Collaborative Engagement:
Build strong relationships locally to support creating strong communication approaches and campaigns.
Partner with the global corporate affairs teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to support communication initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successful media and public relations initiatives, showcasing their ability to strategize and implement effective communication tactics. Ideally you have experience from the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry or a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO).
Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills in English and Danish are essential, along with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and engaging manner. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and executing multi-channel communication campaigns, ensuring alignment with both local and global priorities is required.
This role requires proficiency in digital communications, including devising social media strategies and managing content effectively. We seek an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple initiatives under tight deadlines, demonstrating excellent organizational abilities.
The ideal candidate has experience as a communication partner to leadership teams, supporting change management agendas and initiatives in times of rapid growth and change.
Interpersonal skills are crucial, as this role will need to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels as well with external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills are also required to assess the impact of communication efforts using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
Team
The role reports to the Senior Director, People & Culture for the Danish site and will be part of the People & Culture Leadership team. The Head of Communications Denmark will also be part of a strong community within the Global Communications organization and will partner closely with the GM Site Head Denmark and his leadership team.
