As a groom at Helgstrand Youngsters, you help to prepare the horses for the rider with whom you will be working in a team. This includes grooming and saddling the horses, and everything that goes with this. In addition, there are tasks such as taking the horses in and out from the paddocks, helping in the stable, and if you like you will have the opportunity to help at licensing, stallions shows and events.

You'll have an exciting workday with the opportunity to get close to some of the world's best horses. There are set schedules to ensure you know your work plan well in advance, allowing you to plan your workdays and leisure time as it suits you.
When you're not working, there's plenty of opportunity to spend time in the stables and with your new colleagues. Many of them have brought their horses, which they train with after work, and there's strong support for communal meals or other enjoyable activities.
Salary and working conditions tailored to suit you.
At Helgstrand, we offer a comprehensive package of salary and working conditions, which may include:
• Salary (up to 16,000 DKK gross before bonuses).
• Apartment including utilities (electricity/water/heating/internet).
• Horse stabling (including feed, bedding, mucking out, etc.).
• Lunch scheme.
It's up to you how you prefer to structure your salary package. For example, you can choose to receive your full salary without the additional benefits, or you can choose:
• An apartment including utilities, horse stabling, and lunch, with a monthly salary of approximately 6,000 DKK net after standard deductions.
• An apartment including utilities and lunch, with a monthly salary of approximately 9,000 DKK net after standard deductions.
• To receive your salary of approximately 16,000 DKK gross per month – before any bonuses.
Additionally, all our grooms have the opportunity to earn a bonus of up to 12,000 DKK per year after three months of employment, as well as a referral bonus of 5,000 DKK if they recommend someone who is hired.
