The Opportunity:
As an experienced Accountant, you will support the HQ and EMEA Accounting Manager in managing day-to-day accounting tasks and reporting across entities in EMEA and at HQ—including Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, and the UK.
You will have overall responsibility for end-to-end accounting for some legal entities in the region and play a key part in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial reporting, financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local GAAP and IFRS standards.
Together with the Accounting manager you will lead the monthly and year-end closing procedures and drive process improvements initiatives within accounting that focuses on digitalization and process optimization.
The primary tasks:
- Overall responsibility for end-to-end accounting for legal MRO entities in the region (Germany, Czech Republic, UK)—including payroll and monthly journal entries
- Lead monthly and year-end closing procedures for EMEA and HQ entities, including controlling and reporting support
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage monthly closing for the Programs division across all TP Aerospace Group entities (including Americas and APAC)
- Ensure local GAAP and IFRS compliance for all entities in the region and HQ, with support from external advisors
- Lead preparation of statutory reporting and local tax filings (VAT/GST/CIT) with advisor support
- Manage execution of financial audits—planning and coordination for audit material and assigned entities
- Drive improvements in accounting systems, processes, and tools for efficiency and accuracy
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
- Manage ad hoc projects or process improvement initiatives as assigned
- Be backup for AP colleagues, at times with a lot of absence like vacation
Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting; Accounting or Audit qualification is an advantage
- 3–5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in an international multi-entity environment, or experience as a financial auditor with audit responsibility for international companies
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial reporting regulations, and IFRS
- Some knowledge of tax regulations and tax compliance, especially related to transfer pricing and CIT
- Tech savvy, with experience in Power BI and Power Query
- Strong Excel skills
