About your future role

As Director of MS Marketing in Denmark , you will learn that the Marketing function is broad in the Nexi Group operational model. Marketing operates in the full extent of the 4P’s: Product, Price, Place and Promotion and expands beyond that into commercial management and sales steering.

What you’ll do:

Lead the marketing function for Nets in Denmark, overseeing marketing communications, brand development, proposition planning, product strategy input, commercial management, and business analytics. Collaborate closely with Nordic country teams, maintain strong alignment with Nexi Group central teams, and facilitate information exchange with country teams across DACH, Italy, and Central & Eastern Europe.

  • You will report to the Country General Manager and lead the local marketing team (7 people), supported by a pool of Nordic resources (14), Nordics & DACH Digital Marketing team (20), and the Nexi Group Merchant Solutions organization
  • Act as a key sparring partner to the Country Manager to co-create the country strategy and co-lead the work of the Danish Country Leadership Team.
  • Provide input to product roadmap and prioritization , coordinating with regional Chief Product Officer and Group Marketing.
  • Lead the analysis of customer and market data to identify commercial opportunities and threats and to create and execute go-to-market plans to harvest the opportunities and mitigate threats.
  • Define local proposition “packaging” for different customer segments, including positioning, pricing, messaging, communication materials, and training of sales and customer service teams
  • Define and implement a marketing plan to support the commercial plan.
  • Own marketing budget planning and management, as well as measurement of the impact of marketing.
  • Activate the brand locally, including planning and execution of comms and branding activities.
  • Define local customer lifecycle management strategy and execute scaled customer communication towards smaller customers and close customer engagement, including events and fairs, towards our large customers and partners to drive customer satisfaction and to optimize customer value.
  • Drive lead generation and new customer acquisition together with specialized digital marketing and sales teams.
  • Monitor sales and channel performance to support the delivery of country sales targets. Provide guidance and steering to sales efforts.
  • Develop communication materials and establish a platform to build brand relevance and visibility.
  • Monitor local customer satisfaction and develop a customer excellence culture with cross-functional partners, such as Customer Service Operations.
  • Be an integrated part of building and developing Group-wide marketing communities.

How you’ll do it?

  • Use your extensive and diverse leadership experience to influence, engage, and build strategic and operational momentum for marketing, communication and brand building.
  • Operate ”hands-on” as well as strategically with people and problems – aligning well with senior leadership teams and experts in Country, Nordic, and Group functions to define the strategic direction and create efficient execution plans.
  • Leverage your strong and influential way of working to drive the company's organisation and culture to a high level of customer-centric focus and build a team that can take the company forward with quality and pace.
  • Utilize your excellent stakeholder management skills both internally in the organisation and on the Danish market to strengthen Nets/Nexi's market leadership brand and market/industry shaping relevance.
  • Use your strong skills in creative problem solving , a structured way of working, and effective communication to make real and positive change.
  • As a person, you are used to coping with change and leading transformation . You enjoy exploring opportunities and are curious to challenge conventional thinking and to push innovation.
  • You have a strong ability to process complex information and generate data-driven insights and solutions.

Skills and experience that will make you successful in this role:

  • Strong leadership experience and clear track record of proving commercial impact through operational and strategic execution.
  • Proven ability to develop, evolve, and optimise effective 4P (and beyond) marketing strategy and value propositions – with experience on how great customer-centric products/services are made and deployed.
  • Significant track record of successful leadership in a complex, multi-national, and diverse matrix environment.
  • Fluency in English and Danish is essential; fluency in other European languages can be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of payments or a related industry, including insights, key trends, merchant and customer behaviours, and B2B marketing disciplines, is highly valued.
